Laboratory Manager

SUMMARY:

The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day laboratory operations, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring the successful formulation and production of high-quality inks. Additionally, this role will involve collaborating with other departments to support manufacturing activities, as well as supporting the sales department with technical questions, inquiries, and customer issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Laboratory Management

  • Supervise and lead a team of technicians in the ink development and manufacturing laboratory
  • Plan and oversee laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
  • Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, ensuring their availability for smooth operations
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes
  • Mentoring and training of laboratory personnel

Manufacturing Support

  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to provide technical assistance and guidance during ink production processes
  • Collaborate with supply chain management to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to optimize production efficiency
  • Continuously monitor manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements

Sales Support

  • Responsible for cost calculations in support of pricing structure and yearly standard cost updates
  • Assist with customer questions and issues regarding ink performance

Quality Control

  • Establish and maintain quality control procedures for ink production, ensuring compliance with ISO Procedures
  • Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate ink quality and performance characteristics
  • Conduct regular quality audits to monitor and assess adherence to quality control standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions
  • Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to quality control
  • Update ISO procedures when required

Other

  • Assist in the design and specification requirements for fluid packaging materials-Responsible for label design and placement for compliance with transportation requirements
  • SDS creation and revision as necessary due to compliance changes
  • Keep up to date on SDS requirements and changes internationally

Regional Print Solutions Manager

SUMMARY:

The RPSM is primarily responsible for selling InkJet’s printer line to existing customers while prospecting for new business opportunities within a designated territory to ensure maximum retention and growth. This position drives InkJet’s philosophy of “Find / Support / Replace”. Positions are responsible for “Finding” opportunities with customers who have existing printers in existing print positions (or who have new print position needs), “Support” existing printers by converting customers to InkJet’s fluids, parts, and service, and “Replace” printers when the customer needs to upgrade or replace its printers. The Regional Print Solutions Manager role acts as the face of the InkJet Inc. sales team in their assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify ink/makeup and machine sales opportunities, penetrate new business, and expand market share within the territory.
  • Identify and grow Channel Partnerships within the assigned territory including Manufacturing Reps, Resellers, OEM/Integrators, and Distributors.
  • Maintain detailed reports of sales activity within SF.com including all F2F calls, quotes, orders, lost business, and any other important customer data.
  • Update opportunities and leads daily within SF.com to maintain an accurate pipeline (with focus on 30-60-90-day opportunities and $50k+ projects)
  • Must be able to perform a professional customer presentation for products. All RPSM’s should be able to conduct a professional product demonstration of DuraCode and X1 during F2F visits with customers.
  • Duties include traveling to assigned territories to meet with potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Travel may include overnight trips. Remote RPSM’s are expected to travel within their territories a minimum of 1-2 weeks per month.
